Toni Garn'dan Beyrut için yardım çağrısı

Alman model Toni Garrn, Lübnan'ın başkenti Beyrut'ta gerçekleşen patlama sonrası destek çağrısında bulundu. Garrn, "Bir süre önce Beyrut'a gitmiştim. Çok güzel dostluklar kurdum. Şimdi oradaki insanların yardıma ihtiyacı var" dedi. Sosyal medya hesabından bir yardım kampanyasının afişini paylaşan güzel, "Herkese yürekten teşekkür ediyorum" notunu düştü.

As you all know I travel quite a lot (or used to) and theres some places where you meet one person and immediately say "I love that nationality" and it's honestly because of that one person. Well with Lebanon it was that case when I met the Saab family, but then somehow every time I met a Lebanese person after that they were all very similar. So friendly, so open, so warm, generous, very very fun but most of all so hospitable. Not one of them that I've spent time with hasn't invited to host me, taken care of me in the most friendly way, been a guide through all sorts of cities, donated to @tonigarrnfoundation so generously and even helped build schools with me in Ghana. In other words they are some of THE most giving and loving people- who's country has gone through some of the most unimaginable situations. As you all know, one of the worst explosions of our time has happened a few days ago in Beirut and my friend @kristinoconnorchef has come up with a very smart initiative to support the people who now during a global health crisis, also became homeless. Beyrut Limanı'ndaki patlama
Beyrut Limanı'nda 4 Ağustos'ta patlayıcı maddelerin bulunduğu 12 numaralı depoda önce yangın çıkmış ardından tüm kenti sarsan çok güçlü patlama meydana gelmişti. Patlamada, 163 kişi hayatını kaybederken, yaklaşık 6 bin kişinin de yaralandığı açıklanmıştı.

Lübnan Cumhurbaşkanı Mişel Avn, patlamaya 6 yıldır Beyrut Limanı'ndaki bir depoda tutulan 2 bin 750 ton amonyum nitrat maddesinin yol açtığını söylemişti.

Bu açıklamanın ardından sosyal medyanın yanı sıra Lübnan ve dünya basınında birçok soru ve ihmal iddiaları gündeme gelmişti.
